Marouane Fellaini, the Belgian midfielder arrived at Goodison Park in 2008. He was transferred for a record fee of over £12 million for the English club, Everton. Very soon, Fellaini became a popular figure in Everton and enjoyed a successful five-year spell there. In September 2013, the Manchester United manager David Moyes promptly sign him into his squad. The transfer fee cost over £27.6 million, which put him at the 10th place in our list of top 10 most expensive transfers between EPL Clubs.

His first season with Manchester United was riddled with injuries and poor form. Fellaini was desperate to regain his form and soon became an important player for Louis Van Gaal. But, still there is plenty of challenges ahead of him.

Wilfried Bony had a successful spell at Sparta Prague and Vitesse Arnhem. Then, he decided to move on to England and joined Swansea in 2013 for a club record fee of £12 million. Bony wasn’t an instant success for the English club, but soon after finding his feet, the Ivory Coast striker went on a prolific run. He marked his name as the most premier league goal scorer in the 2014 season of EPL. He netted 34 goals in 70 matches for Swansea before being signed by Manchester City in January 2015. The transfer fee was estimated £28 million, which made him the 9th most expensive transfer in EPL.

8. Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku joined Chelsea from Anderlecht in 2011 with a transfer fee of : £18 million. In the 2012-13 season, he was loaned out first to play for the West Brom and then to Everton in the next season. It worked out very well for the Belgian striker as he scored a combined 33 goals in 71 appearances. But, the Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was still not convinced with Lukaku. 5. Dimitar Berbatov
