Dunga’s Brazil Prepared for Copa America with Neymar Arrival

Last Sunday Brazil got a 2-0 win over Mexico. Brazil team was literally good with some monotonous overtones. But as matter of fact, the Copa America is not only winning the title. At least for the strong sides in this tournament believe this as greater competition within the region. In fact Brazil must have been fascinating to forget those 20-odd minutes of madness last July in FIFA World Cup 2014, Brazil.

It was the Selecao’s first match on home soil since beaten by Holland on July 12. Now Brazil team pretty more prepared to take on Peru this Sunday in their Copa America opener in Chile. The 1994 World Cup winning captain Dunga (current coach of Brazil National Team) is keeping faith in Neymar. He will be counting on his talisman after he reported for national duty last Monday.

Neymar Arrival boosts Brazil for Copa America:

Anyway, you cannot just allow guarantee about the 23-year-old to play any part against the Central Americans. But it was truly a happy ending for Neymar on Champions League Final against Juventus. He netted the third on that night in Berlin last weekend. Dunga believes European success can also help to lift his second continental title. As he had already won the 2007 edition following a 3-0 rout of Argentina recently.

Neymar has far shown no fatigue with 39 goals this season for Barcelona. Even he was a very regular footballer for international arena since 2011. Some say, he needs rest and for the purpose to serve, it will be wise to leave him out of Wednesday’s friendly squad.

After winning the Champions League Final on Saturday, Neymar joined the Brazil squad yesterday. With Neymar’s absence for the match, one man who could return is Santos forward Robinho. Recently the journeyman has returned to the international fold as one of the experienced heads in Brazil.

He is very much expected to be shown as the principal feeder between the freely fluctuating lines between midfield and attack for Selecao team. Elias on the other hand had an excellent performance in both goals as he battles with Casemiro for a place alongside Fernandinho.

The back line now picks itself with Jefferson behind Danilo, Miranda, David Luiz and Filipe Luis. But the Porto right-back is not confirmed for Wednesday’s game. He had recently endured an ankle problem following from Javier Guemez. May be Fabinho would be set to deputies. Again, Willian has stepped up in the absence of midfield partners Luiz Gustavo and Oscar.

This is actually a beneficial chance for Dunga to test a few broader options in Porto Alegre. Shakhtar midfielder Fred had already failed to impose himself on proceedings. While Brazil appear to be on an upward trajectory since the World Cup, last form tells a different guidelines.

Dunga needed to redesign the Brazil side after Luiz Felipe Scolari’s tenure. And probably he has forged a first XI that looks prepared enough on the eve of Copa America. Brazil reverted to two lines of four without the ball against Mexico.

Willian and Coutinho proved capable of causing problems for teams set up to utilize the man marking system. When Robinho drops back into a 4-2-3-1, it leaves Diego Tardelli to lead from the front. Hopefully the lack of definitive positioning will play to Brazil’s strengths this time.

As the tournament approaching just the corner, Dunga must have wished for fine-tuning his prime instruments. Brazil have fond memories of their last visit to Porto Alegre. They had 3-0 win over France on the eve of the Confederations Cup last time.

That was an absolute success for Brazil romped to the title.

On the eve of competition once again, Selecao team appears to be purring. Though Brazil has overwhelmed in last 10 wins from 10 matches, Dunga likes to think only about the upcoming first match for them. And no doubt, with the present focus, Neymar arrival, Brazil team is genuinely boosted for the Copa America chances.

MANU Transfer News: Mats Hummels, Mario Mandzukic Transfer Rumors

Manchester United could be welcoming Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels and Atletico Madrid’s Mario Mandzukic to Old Trafford this summer. According to talkSPORT, Mats Hummels is kind of pondering his future at Dortmund following the departure of manager Jurgen Klopp and wants to leave this summer.

Borussia Dortmund had a difficult season in Bundesliga. They will not feature in the Champions league next season because of their poor performance this summer. The sales of Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski is consecutive summers weakened Borussia Dortmund while on the other hand it strengthened the rival Bayern Munich in German Bundesliga.

MANU Transfer News: Mats Hummels, Mario Mandzukic

Mats Hummels would reportedly set his value at £20 million for Manchester United, but for a player of his caliber, that price is more than worth it for the United. The Germany international, Hummels is a vast experienced player. He always performs outstandingly on the biggest stage of football. He came into the football through Bayern Munich youth academy. He joined his current club, Borussia Dortnund on loan in January 2008 and officially signed in 2009 for €4 million. He won two league titles and finished as runner-up in 2012-13 UEFA Champions league for the Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United Transfer News: Mats Hummels and Mario Mandzukic Transfer Rumors, Mats Hummels

He is playing for the German international team since 2010. Hummels has earned over 30 caps and represented Germany at Euro 2012 and 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The center-back is also an effective defender and would certainly improve the quality of Manchester United’s back line. Despite Dortmund’s struggle in Bundesliga, Hummels won 61% of his duels for his team, which also includes 70% of his aerial battles and successfully dribbled past an opponent 20 times in 28 attempts. The performance is quite impressive indeed. The 26-year-old central defender is a solid defender who is very much comfortable with the ball. He would be a great asset for the Red Devils’ uninspiring defense. Hummels should be considered as a must-buy for the Manchester United.

Up front, The Red Devils would be very much keen to add Mario Mandzukic in this summer of tranfer window. Mandzukic has shown much potential in this season of La Liga. He netted a total 21 goals in his debut season with Atletico Madrid. ManU are negotiating an £18.1 million transfer deal for the Croatian striker. He is a prolific goal scorer with a great defensive and aerial power. While in Bayern Munich, he won three trophies in his first season with the team, including the Champions League. Mandzukic became the first Croat to score in the Champions league final with Bayern.

He participated in two major competitions for Croatia, 2012 EURO and 2014 FIFA World Cup. Mandzukic was awarded the Croatian Footballer of the Year both in 2012 and 2013.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone spoke on Mandzukic’s exit from the Vicente Calderon,

“He annoys me easily, that’s the fact. He is a great player indeed and a decent lad. He himself is down about not maintaining the form he displayed up until this season.”

The Croatian striker netted 21 goals for Atletico Madrid and laid on five assists in all competitions during his debut season with the Spanish club. However, Mandzukic went on a significant dry spell in the last half of the season in La Liga.

Manchester United Transfer News: Mats Hummels and Mario Mandzukic Transfer Rumors, Mario Mandzukic

Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal is desperate in need of more firepower up front as Robin Van Persie continues to declines with age and Radamel Falcao has returned to his old club FC Monaco. The 29-year-old Mandzukic would be a fine squad player for the Red Devils, but they will not want to be in the position where they are relying on him to fire them to win the premier league title next season.

The Atletico striker is powerful in the air and excels at holding the ball up. But, Manchester United lack the pace in forward areas which they are currently lacking. This deficit caused Van Gaal to play Angel Di Maria out of his natural position or experiment with youngster James Wilson last season in Premier league. Mario Mandzukic can’t be considered as an attractive proposition in this case, given his age and playing style.

On the other hand, Mats Hummels should be brought into the old trafford whatever the cost is. The classy midfielder cum defender would add leadership and solidity to United’s shaky defense line and his purchase would be a bold step for Van Gaal towards returning to the air of invulnerability, that they enjoyed under the reign of Sir Alex Ferguson.

5 Potential replacements of Xavi in Barcelona

Xavi Hernandez has recently left Barcelona to join the Qatari football club, Al Sadd SC. He may leave, but the legacy he left behind in Nou Camp, will last for generations. Xavi was the most decorated player for Barcelona. He signed off in a best possible way, by lifting the Champions League title in Berlin in a great passion. With Xavi’s absence in the heart of the Barcelona’s midfield, an enormous void was created for the Catalans. Barcelona need to fill the blank immediately, but to suggest that player would be a direct replacement for Xavi Hernandez, is pushing it somewhat.

We have looked over five players who might step into Xavi’s shoes. Barcelona would be planning to organize the midfield in such a manner that would definitely suit for a Champions league winner. So, Let’s have a look-

5 potential replacements of Xavi in Barcelona:

1. Denis Suarez

Denis Suarez has really found his feet in La Liga for Sevilla over the past 12 months in the last season. He was sent on loan to play in Sevilla as a part of the deal that brought Ivan Rakitic to Nou Camp. Suarez proved himself as a great attacking midfielder back in Andalusia. But the loan contract still to go on for another year and it would not be easy for Barcelona to bring him back. However, it is not impossible for a club like Barcelona.

The Catalans has already built up a healthy relationship with Sevilla, signing Aleix Vidal in the most recent time from Sevilla. Denis Suarez has the potential to become successful in Barca, much like Gerard Deulofeu, who was given much the same opportunities. He could be a better replacement for Xavi, as during his time with Barcelona B,he used to take the midfield responsibility quite successfully.

2. Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba, the French midfielder appears the most likely to be signed by Barcelona this summer. Already some initiatives are taken to grab this Juve at personal and club level. Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu said,

“it is true that Paul Pogba is one of the leading targets of ours and obviously we are interested to bring him at the Nou Camp. But, I cann’t say anything more right now.”

Pogba would make a real change of direction in the midfield for the Barcelona. He would be a more powerful midfielder than the ‘conductor’ Xavi has been. Landing the ex-Manchester United man would cost Barcelona more or less around €80 million and the midfielder is just waiting for the green signal.

3. Isco

If Barcelona are interested in Real Madrid midfieder Isco, firstly, they have to arrange a third party to have Isco signed for them before he move onto Barca. It’s a matter of just a few months. There is absolutely no chance that Florentino Perez would sanction a move to Real Madrid’s greatest rivals.

Although, Isco would be significantly cheaper than Pogba, there are unlikely to be too many supporters fussed about Isco previously having plied his trade at the Santiago Bernabeu if there was a chance of signing him to Barcelona. It doesn’t need to be a researcher say that Isco is the right man, at right place, at right age.

Barcelona have been considered a potential destination for Marco Reus for some while, but prefers to remain as a Borussia Dortmund midfielder. In February, Reus has made a new deal for the German club. So, any proposed deal would be difficult for him right now. Considering Reus’ adaptability, Barcelona may feel that he is player worth pursuing.

Marco Reus is an amazing footballer, who can play in any part of the ground and is comfortable in possession. He has a sense of sit and hold as well as pop off inch perfect passes and assists in. He is a high-class football performer. Barcelona have to dig deep to catch Marco Reus.

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla is the perfect guy, who knows many of the team well through his time with the Spanish National team. It is quite unclear what Arsene Wenger would make an approach from Barcelona’s offer. But, at 30, Santi Cazorla isn’t exactly the one for future. But, the Barcelona team always want to test waters. Barcelona are quite capable to bring out the class within the players. Let’s do them some experiment this summer. Hopefully, they will find a perfect replacement for Xavi in the midfield.

The Brazilian midfielder is currently playing for German Bundesliga club Hoffenheim. The 22-year-old has been in superb form for the club, but his displays have snuck under the radar somewhat. French forward Karim Benzema is constantly tipped to be the fall guy at Santiago Bernabeu. He is most likely to be deemed surplus to requirements for Real. There has been a massive change of plan after the arrival of Rafa Benitez and he is planning to take his side’s front line in a different direction. As a result, after passing some difficult time, Benzema could be on his way out of the Spanish capital. The United, on the other hand, is in need of new additions in front line following the failure of Radamel Falcao’s spell.

Van Gaal should have eyed on him in this case. The 27-year-old still possesses proven quality and stamina. He has the ability to develop an excellent partnership with Wayne Rooney in the front line. He is at No. 4 in the list of top 10 transfer targets of Manchester United in summer 2015.

But, he also has some unique talent in football.Although the contract he signed for PSG still remains one year by the calender, the Ligue 1 Champions could decide to sell Zlatan this summer, rather than the risk of losing him for nothing. While Noah was kept out of the pitch, Bobby Portis played the increased minutes and expected to remain in rotation. Joakim Noah, the winner of 2014 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, is in a good form this season as he averaged 4.3 points and 8.8 rebounds in 26 games for the Bulls.

All of his shorts came from inside five feet of the ground, but he couldn’t get anything to drop. Throughout the game, he eagerly flashed into the post position, demanding a pass in the second for his first attempt. He failed to call for the ball the rest of the way. Even, Noah couldn’t get up high enough to get a decent look. He also seemed ineffective on defense. He was too slow and powerless against the Nene-Wall pick-and-roll action. He failed to step up on the wall for checking Nene’s roll.

The main reason behind his struggle was supposed to be his shoulder injury. He missed three weeks and didn’t look fully fit for the game. Previously, he was battling with an ankle injury, a sore back, a tweaked knee. It is totally unfortunate for him that there is no going back to the days of clean injury sheets for Joakim Noah. But, he is bound to improve after a rusty return from the shoulder injury. Infact, Noah wasn’t the reason behind Chicago’s lost. Their defense as a team was very lax that they couldn’t even get back in transition Wall’s relentless drives.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s £146,000 Porsche Over Ballon d’Or Disappointment

‘Car collecting’ is probably one out of many Cristiano Ronaldo hobbies. You can always prefer special admiration for the Portuguese and Real Madrid football superstar when it comes to show off a new car in his collection. I think it’s well-predicted that cr7 is not fond of sticking with the same car for too long. As well, his private garage is quite capable of providing some more enough space for his upcoming dream cars.

Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo joined the Premier league giant club Manchester united, his salary definitely got some few more digits. Yes, he could start buying the dream cars and in fact this high range salary allowed to even learn about some other rich end cars.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been growing number of his cars over the years. An incredible amount of 19 cars and 4.912.000 USD spent by the soccer star to keep feeding this passion.

The Bugatti Veyron was so far the most expensive car in his collection, which had cost around 1.700.000 US Dollars. Most interestingly, once Cristiano made a race with this exclusive car for a commercial.

Porsche 911 Turbo S:

Cristiano may have missed out on a fourth Ballon d’Or last Monday but the La Liga superstar appeared to be in great mode with the new gem to his collection (posing with a £146,000 supercar). Messi followed up on his achievement in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 to reclaim the crown from Cristiano Ronaldo. Unfortunately Cr7 came second in the vote. But Ronaldo seems to have put the snub behind him, his Instagram account came with a picture that may have a lot more to say. He probably thought of quickly moving on from his Ballon d’Or disappointment. And this time with a multimillionaire type expensive car splash.

The 30 year old Madrid star missed out at award ceremony in Zurich, to his best rival another unearthly soccer player Lionel Messi. But CR7 had to confront to his fans that there’ll be no sulking this time. Ronaldo has splashed out around £146,000 on a brand-new Porsche 911 Turbo S. He was seen proudly posing with his new pet on Instagram photo. Ronaldo posted the picture on his Instagram account on Tuesday afternoon. Definitely he seemed in buoyant mood as a car lover.

But again – the 2014 Ballon d’Or winner and the 2015 FIFA FIFPro World Eleven player revealed his hopes – ‘to continue to make people happy’ with his football.

Latest Rumors on Real Madrid Transfer: Martin Odegaard and Harry Kane

Now it’s been clear that Bayern Munich “are in contact” with the Spanish premier club Real Madrid to sign Martin Odegaard. Again, Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been advised to consider joining Los Merengues, probably this summer.

Martin Odegaard:

Some of the German media networks has already confirmed, Odegaard is on Bayern’s radar. But the German club would like to respect his previous decision to sign for Madrid. Alongside, Odegaard hasn’t made a first-team appearance for Real Madrid, last season. So, they prefer to let the great football player take his own decision for joining them.

Yes, of course Odegaard has struggled to fit in at Real since joining. He had been playing largely for the team’s Castilla side despite becoming the club’s youngest debutant in the final fixture on last season at 16 years and 157 days of age.

Surprisingly the young star came on as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo. May be I can help you remember, Cristiano was the reigning Ballon d’Or winner at the time. But lack of any first-team involvement, we had to admit it wasn’t quite the “passing of the torch”.

Bayern was already there while the Norwegian starlet Odegaard moved to Santiago Bernabeu from Stromsgodset in January, 2015. They tried to link up before Real Madrid, but Odegaard had thought otherwise.

Max Eberl, the sporting director of Borussia Monchengladbach told the German newspaper Kicker,

“Odegaard should have moved to the Bundesliga instead of Spain. You could say what would Gladbach be able to do against the biggest clubs in Europe? But I am convinced Odegaard would be a Bundesliga player in Gladbach. At Real he has a hard time at the moment.”

Real Madrid was never good at promoting the youth consistently. Even, not all the club’s managers have held that reputation. But Madrid’s current chief Zinedine Zidane may wish to change such situation. In fact we have to recall that he is the former Castilla coach. Bayern may still want the 17 year old Norwegian prodigy to sign in.

Harry Kane:

Meanwhile, Teddy Sheringham (ex-English forward) has told Spurs superstar Kane to consider upon the interest he’s currently getting from the top most clubs in the world. Speaking to the Mail On Sunday –

“I’m sure there are top clubs looking at him. They’d be prepared to break the bank just because of the way he plays and the way he wants to score goals”

But maybe we have scope for a second thought, Should he move right now? Timing’s a funny thing in football. Most supposedly you have to take the opportunity when it arises. And if it’s left over, another prosperous may have reached there at the elite club and you won’t get the chance again for at least few years.

Probably Kane is facing such tough time for taking balanced decision. Some issues may indicate this decision right and some others may make feel to go with the flow. But he can potentially link up with former White Hart Lane team-mate Gareth Bale in Real Madrid.

Kane undoubtedly feels an allegiance to the club who handed him his break into the Premier League, but after netting 22 goals in the English top flight this season, he may be tempted to join Los Blancos next season.

On the lookout during the upcoming footie match

With the Champions League now on the horizon, football enthusiasts can be heard jeering and cheering at their TV screens as the fortnightly qualifying matches began on Tuesday.

Malta VS Estonia

Opening the series of six qualifying matches, Malta’s Hibernians played against Estonia’s FCI Tallinn in the first of such matches, with excitement flooding the atmosphere in bars and in homes. This saw several patrons placing wagers on the outcome of the games, whether opting for the Betfair sportsbook betting offers and the like, or placing discreet bets among each other under the table.

Hibernians scored two goals during the second half of the game, ending the game with 2-0 against their opponents. Hibernians will now put their skills to the test in Estonia on the 4th of July in the second leg of the first qualifying round.

Before that, however, Tuesday’s match was swiftly followed by one between Linfield and La Fiorita on Wednesday night, closing the first leg.

The competition hots up

Thirty-four teams in all will play in the second qualifying round, 29 teams of them that will enter in this round, plus another five who emerged victorious in the first qualifying round. The first leg will be played between the 11th and 12th of July, with the second leg scheduled for the 18th and 19th.

Yet, the areas of congregation for football lovers to celebrate or mourn their favorite teams, namely pubs, restaurants and friends’ living rooms, may expect to feel a slight blow this season; sensing the winds of change in customer behavior in the digital age, sports network Fox Sports announced on Tuesday that it had teamed up with social network site Facebook to live-stream the Champions League matches online, owing to the tendency of internet users to show preference to seek entertainment online rather than through traditional television. Fox Sports, which is owned by Twenty-First Century Fox Inc, added that some matches will be available exclusively on Facebook and Fox Sports GO – meaning that they will not be shown on television.

Fox Sports already creates original online content for Facebook, including a weekly football show. According to Fox, the Champions League deal with Facebook aims to give the games a wider audience.

“Facebook has one of the most social soccer audiences on the web, and this is going to expose the Champions League to fans who aren’t tuning into a game on TV,” David Nathanson, business operations head at Fox Sports said in an interview.

Don’t miss out!

The 2018 UEFA Champions League Final will be played at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine, on 26 May. Whether you are into watching it at home with a few friends, watching in a bar with a few beers, or logging on to place a few bets and try your luck, the Champions League is for sure, one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the year. Be sure not to miss out!

David Beckham looking for football stadium in Miami

David Beckham looking for football stadium in Miami, david beckham, david beckham soccer, david beckham net worth, david beckham retiredRetired English football captain David Beckham is trying for the approval of his proposed 25,000 seat football stadium. He has lobbied Miami lawmakers on Wednesday.

Wearing a tailored dark suit, David Beckham went door-to-door in Miami lawmaker’s offices in downtown. He was quite busy meeting with commissioners and posing for pictures throughout the morning and evening.

Beckham is planning for a futuristic and waterfront stadium near the port. He is intending to house a new Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise in Miami. Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez offered an alternative proposal this week. He wants the location of the stadium to be on another nearby downtown waterfront site, which is currently a boat slip. It would be in between an art museum and the Miami Heat basketball arena.

“If they want to have a piece of property there … they would have to bear the cost of filling the slip in”

Gimenez said. He pegged the cost between $12 million and $18 million and claimed that the land could be worth as much as $50 million.

Outside the county hall on Wednesday, David Beckham told reporters,

“It’s another option. It gives us another location which has come out of the blue. It’s gone from having one great possible location to two. We are very happy.”

David Beckham was never expecting a “smooth ride” getting the stadium approval.

“Investors and I will be putting up a quarter of a billion dollars … we don’t want to bring worries”

Simon Fuller (creator of American Idol) and Bolivian-born billionaire Marcelo Claure are the two partners of David Beckham. This group is the founder of Miami-based Brightstar Corp. they are planning to privately finance the $250 million stadium construction.

Alternative plan of the mayor has already drawn the ire of several critics. Former Miami Mayor Manny Diaz is one of them. He said that the space should become parks and plazas for the tens of thousands of downtown Miami residents. He is also afraid of a national real estate collapse.

Miami has become one of the world’s leading urban centers; let us not purge this gift by building a stadium where it does not belong”

Diaz commented in a widely circulated Wednesday email.
